Hey! I’m Palvinder Mahal (AKA Karan)- a designer and brand thinker currently building at Zepto in Bangalore. My work sits at the intersection of graphic design, illustration, typography and brand strategy.
Over the past 6+ years, I’ve worked on brands from zero to one- from naming and identity systems to packaging, campaigns, environments, and digital rollouts. I think in systems, not just assets. My approach blends bold, expressive aesthetics (often borrowing from brutalism and maximalism) with strategic clarity, ensuring the work is both visually disruptive and structurally sound.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Animation, VFX & Gaming from Chandigarh University, I bring a strong sense of visual storytelling and world-building into everything I create. Typography remains a deep personal obsession- especially custom, hand-drawn and character-driven type that gives brands a distinct voice.
Having worked largely in lean, high-velocity teams, I thrive in chaos, whether it’s building a pitch deck on the way to a meeting or pulling an all-nighter to land a campaign. I’m most alive when building brands feels inevitable, not just visible.
